Happiness and good health go together.


Scientific studies have shown that happiness can make our hearts healthier, and our immune systems stronger.



What is the definition of happiness?

Happiness is a state, rather than a trait. It isn’t a long-lasting, permanent feature or personality trait, but a more passing, changeable state.


Happiness generally sticks around for longer than a few moments at a time. Happiness is a feeling of contentment. Happiness is not an intense feeling such as joy, ecstasy, or bliss.


According to a study by Waldinger & Schulz, good relationships are a vital ingredient of happiness. When we are happy in our most important relationships (usually our partner, our children, our parents, other close family members, and our closest friends), we tend to be happier overall.

There are a few other factors, such as physical health, feeling positive and individual income, that are also important for overall happiness.
